FAQ
Which flights should we book?
We’ll discuss flight options during the first preparatory meeting, where the group can decide whether to travel together or if some prefer to arrive earlier. Direct flights are recommended to minimize fatigue and reduce environmental impact. For itineraries starting in the north, fly to Delhi, and for southern trips, Mumbai is ideal. If booking independently or via indirect routes, we’ll guide you on alternative airports and layover options that suit your needs. Major hubs like Delhi and Mumbai are complemented by regional airports such as Bangalore, Kochi, and Jaipur for more flexible itineraries.
Is it safe to travel to India?
India is a vibrant destination, but like any travel, it requires caution. We avoid regions with political tensions, unless otherwise specified in the itinerary with additional safety measures. Our guides provide security briefings, emergency contact information, and practical tips to stay safe, such as avoiding valuables and staying vigilant in crowded areas. For treks, we recommend professional operators like IndiaHikes to ensure safety in remote regions. Female travelers are offered extra guidance to enhance confidence and security during their trip.
When is the best season to visit India?
The best time depends on your itinerary and interests:
October to March: Ideal for most trips, with cooler temperatures and dry weather, perfect for exploring cities, wildlife parks, and the countryside.
April to June: Great for mountain regions like Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, or Ladakh, though the plains can be very hot.
June to September: The monsoon transforms landscapes, making it an excellent time to visit lush regions like the Western Ghats, Kerala, or the Valley of Flowers.
Each trip itinerary highlights the best months to ensure you get the most out of your experience.
How are travel groups formed?
We offer two group options:
Private Groups: Travel with friends or family for maximum flexibility. Customize your travel dates and preferences, including hotel packages and activities.
Open Groups: Perfect for solo travelers or couples looking to join a group. We carefully match travelers with similar interests and compatible personalities. Open group dates are fixed, and decisions like accommodation categories are made collectively.
Do you organize trekking trips?
For challenging treks in areas like Kashmir or Uttarakhand, we recommend partnering with trusted operators such as IndiaHikes, known for their safety-first approach. We’re happy to help you coordinate with them. For shorter, less remote hikes, our team or local guides will ensure a secure and enriching experience.
What’s included in your preparatory meetings?
Our pre-trip meetings, either in person or online, are an opportunity to meet fellow travelers, discuss logistics, and gain insights into Indian culture. We’ll provide tips on packing, adapting to cultural differences, and navigating your itinerary. These sessions help you feel confident and prepared before your adventure begins.
